We are dancing
at Claxton Community Center
at 1071 Edgemoor Road
Clinton TN

on Wed afternoons
from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. 

Paul Taylor also leads
a zoom folk dance session
each Monday evening
starting at 8:00 pm.

Ms. Marie Xingxing Yao

of Oak Ridge, Tennessee

to have a meal with us and

tell us about Chinese folk

dance.  She spoke about

the 56 ethnic groups

in China

and taught us

​four Chinese

dances.

 Our History

The group was started
in 1944
during WWII
when the city of
Oak Ridge
was first developing.
​

ORFD in 2024
Our dancers come from
Oak Ridge, Knoxville and
nearby towns.

We welcome visitors
to the area as well as
beginning and experienced
folk dancers.

No partner is needed.


    We dance village dances from the following countries and more:

Romania, Bulgaria, England,
Scotland, France, Hungary

Sweden, Norway, Ukraine,
China, Israel, Germany,

Ireland, Greece, Macedonia,
Serbia, Russia, Mexico,

​Slovenia, Armenia
South Africa
and Japan.
